Hello! My name is Liselotte and I'm a Swedish post-op TS woman/girl. I found your page by a happy accident. I have a little stupid question, but I promise you that I'm serious. Are all the women/girls
heterosexual? The thing is that I'm lesbian and looking for a new relationship. Or maybe you know any other site that can help me? Many thanks beforehand!

Yours sincerely,

Subject: I almost did not read your website because of your intro page

Let me first say that you have a great website and your advice to men is spot on. I do not have much experience in dating TS women, but I have dated a few and I have just started a new dating relationship with a lovely TS. I have a pretty good understanding of the community and TS women, but I have learned more. Thank you for that.

Now, on to my complaint. When I arrived at your front page from a Google link, almost the first word that struck me was "shemale". I read on a bit....more "shemale," "shemale," "shemale." I got upset and started thinking this SOB obviously has no idea what he is talking about. I never got more than a few paragraphs in when I decided to leave the site.

Then, I thought, I'm going to give this guy a piece of my mind. I started to type an email, but I calmed down a bit and decided to read on. At the bottom of your intro, I found your explanation of why you use that term. And, it makes a lot of sense and, hopefully, will enlighten some narrow minds.

My recommendation, take it or leave it, would be to move that explanation to the top of your intro to keep people like me interested in your website and to teach the ignorant right off the bat.

Just my two cents. Thank you for this website.

Best wishes,

Subject: If not "admirer"...

Hello Michael;

I know I've been reading your site at least since my third space-Decatur Public Library days, so for about three years. Today I spent some time on your article about "admirers."

I just attended my first Southern Comfort after wanting to for four years. It was my way of personally celebrating my hard-won solvency (the NEW "coming out," and the NEW aphrodisiac of our times -- believe me!) I introduced myself to many girls there as an admirer, and they seemed not to mind, or at least to understand my meaning. If I'm in a comfortable social environment, I'm quite friendly, not at all lurking. I'm there to meet and greet, and I do! I had a FABULOUS time, by the way.

I've read a lot of Lynn Conway and Joan Roughgarden (umich.edu). I'm Renee Reyes' neighbor near Decatur, GA (wish I were her friend), and I love her site. I'm on PINKEssence, URNA, and the British Transtastic.com (highly recommended. The Brits really have more sense of irony and humor!)

So...what should I call myself now? I love Renee's term "paratrexual" whch I've Bogarted since 2008. I also recently came across "transamo(u)rist" which has a Romantic Intellectual [Anais] Nin-esque ring that I like.
